Contactless or Contact-free Courier Service in Los Angeles

Since A-1 Courier started many years ago, there have been some great technological breakthroughs. Products like Waze and Google Maps have made life way easier, and of course, so has dispatching drivers via GPS. However, nothing has impacted us and made our service update itself like Covid-19. And while we mention that, please know that all of us at A-1 Courier hope you and your loved ones are okay.

The abrupt changes we’ve made include; getting our hands on as many masks and pairs of gloves that we could, along with hand sanitizer. This has not been easy. But as of 4/20/20, we’re in great shape with supplies. And we think this will be the new normal for quite some time.

It’s quite a surprise that we look like this now. But getting sick with complications sounds terrible.

However, it is a two-way street. No matter where you stand on the issue, a mask is really important during this crisis. So, when we go to pick up with one of our couriers, we hope that he or she will not be the only one wearing a protective mask.

Last week, one of our couriers decided to quit for health reasons. He noticed too many people either giving him packages or receiving packages without any masks on and not practicing social distancing. We thanked him for his service and wished him the best of luck. It’s easy to understand how unsettling it must be for workers — on the front lines — as they now say.

In fact, we’ve had many employee drivers leave when the pandemic arrived. It was very difficult for A-1 Courier, as we and most messenger services, do business to business work. But the route work, as compared to on-demand deliveries, has remained strong.

So, that’s all for now. It’s actually time for us to organize our safety supplies and have a Zoom meeting about the upcoming days and the opening up of certain businesses, whether they’re supposed to, or not, they’ll likely call us and we need a smart strategy to stay safe, yet continue to offer our much-needed courier service.

We’re hopeful for once that time flies, and we get past this hardship. Things will get better!
